Precision ground center cutting bull nose insert. Excellent choice for tip
milling with larger step-overs and for profile milling of pre-hard and fully
hard die steels, cast steel, cast iron, carbon graphite, etc. Some plunging
capability, Strong cutting edge design. Hard Die/Mold steels of up to 63 HRC
can be machined using this insert.

Precision ground, cutting on center, for semi-finish and
finish milling. Excellent choice for unattended finish milling at small depth
and high speed and feed rates. Hard Die/Mold steels of up to 64 HRC can be
machined using this insert.

This uniquely designed insert has a negative
draft at the back of the insert which makes it perfectly suitable for steep
wall machining where normal solid carbide tools cause problems of rubbing on
the portion already machined thus causing heavy friction and spoiling the
finish on already machined portion. Precision ground, with positive ground chip
breaker and non chip breaker type. Used for milling of cores, cavities, fillets
with straight or very steep walls of softer materials and non chip breaker
design for hard materials.
Typical usage is in the mold base pockets and bore machining with circular
interpolation. These can also be used on parts which have deep but steep walls
where the generation of friction is more owing to rubbing of solid carbide
shank. It is also used in aerospace industry where there are many cases
of steep wall machining on difficult to machine materials such as titanium and
nickel based alloys.

Precision
Ground, with high positive ground chip breaker and clearance. Use this
aggressive, positive insert on all non-ferrous materials (Aluminium, brass,
copper, graphite, etc.). When using these inserts, cutting speeds as high as
1000m/min can be used depending on the application and the material. The
capability of you machine tool is the only limit for the performance and
productivity of this insert.

Moldstar
range of Solid Micro-Grain carbide endmills are one of the best products on
offer in the market. The use of ultra-fine grain premium carbide substrate
material designed specifically for smaller, high performance tools, coupled
with the most advanced, proprietary EXALON ALTiN based coating has demonstrated
superior performance characteristics over an impressive list of world wide
competitors in die-mold milling. Hard Die/Mold steels of up to 63 HRC can be
machined using these tools.
